U4 & DreamPlex
U4 & DreamPlex
Is there a definitive, up to date guide with Plex (Current is 1.12 I think..?) running on the U4?
Re: U4 & DreamPlex
Not sure what you are asking here.
A guide as in how to install and use the Dreamplex plugin?

Re: U4 & DreamPlex
Pretty much.
Does anyone have it currently running on current Plex Server version.
There's a number of threads, some quite old,
Some that say the plugin now has issues with the newer updates to Plex server
I'm running mine on a FreeNAS box
The U4 can see it and connect, but can't sync media.

Re: U4 & DreamPlex
Is working properly on my T4 and I have no reason to believe it should be different on the U4, bit I could be wrong.
As long as you have a Plex account and have logged into that account on both the server and the T4 client, then it should all work.
My server runs the latest Plex version available for RedHat based PCs.
The T4 is on the latest 17.5 beta firmware, but I don't think it would matter if you were on the regular 17.5 series non-beta firmware.

Re: U4 & DreamPlex
Cheers Mr
So we DO need to login for the later server versions in dreamplex.
I have the plex option set to "prefer" secure connections, but do allow connection without authorisation from anything on my LAN /24

Re: U4 & DreamPlex
Yea, AFAIK the requirement to log in when using third party clients was introduced a while back.
