Next/Prev channel on the Single Channel EPG
Next/Prev channel on the Single Channel EPG
On the Single Channel EPG page, it would be handy to be able to move to the next/previous channel , say , with the channel up/down buttons.
Cheers

Re: Next/Prev channel on the Single Channel EPG
It depends which single-channel EPG you go to.
If you go to the single-channel EPG straight from live TV (eg with long-EPG>Show EPG for current channel), then CH+/- change the channel. But if you get the more limited single-channel EPG called from the Graphical (default grid) EPG (eg from live TV long-EPG>Graphical EPG, EPG, then that can't change channels at all.
In fact the original question in the topic you linked to was about the single-channel EPG entered with the EPG button from the graphical EPG.
Setting the single-channel EPG as the default EPG on the EPG button in live TV is OK if you always want the single-channel EPG. But if you want to mostly use the graphical EPG, then that's not really what you want.
Both the EPG and INFO buttons have the same ability to be set to open any of a variety of EPG options. INFO normally opens the Event Info screen, but most of what's on that screen (and some other stuff, like the details of the next program to show on the channel) is already available in the infobar screens, with OK, OK.
So it would be possible to have the graphical EPG open on EPG and the single-channel EPG (with channel selection) open on INFO, and use OK, OK to view the current program's details.
There has been discussion in the past about making the single-channel EPG called from the graphical EPG fully functional, but I can't find it (not at all helped by the fact that the forum search software thinks that three-letter search terms like "epg" are things that we shouldn't be allowed to search on, but a Google search of the forum didn't find it either).
My memory of it is that it's the way it is because it's difficult to do otherwise. The code around leaving an EPG screen is already quite complicated.
