T2 stopped working with just red power light

Hi, I'm troubleshooting a T2 unit which suddenly "stopped working". That is to say it doesn't start up or output anything on the HDMI interface. When you turn it on with the switch at the back the red power light comes on but the power button at the front does nothing. I thought that maybe...

Program guide suddenly 13 rows and I can't change it

Some time in the last few days without anyone doing anything (at least not on purpose), the program guide changed to 13 rows despite the settings specifying 7 rows. I have been unable to set it back to a usable state. Does anyone know what might be causing this or how to fix it? Thank you in advance...

There is still $100 and a trip to Warkus on the table.... Hopefully in the future. I couldn't even afford the voltage regulators and needed a benefactor to fund those. There's not even a guarantee that it can be fixed with $100 :/ I'll pack it up nicely and make sure there is a lot of silica gel to...

For what it's worth the resistance on both inductors (measured in-place) jumps around a bit before settling on 0 ohm.

There is no obvious need to replace the existing 1.2v regs if they are ok but matching the package height is critical if you do.
RS has none with the required dimensions so I guess I'll just leave them alone. I've not heard of them dying for anyone else so hopefully all will be well.

Re: Beyonwiz T4 set top box suddenly cannot see any channels (and 1 tuner disappeared)

Turns out my fears were well founded. Pulled the top off one of the regulators.

When I measured at L56 I got around 2.1v rather than 3.3v. Both regulators at the C/D tuners seem fine.

I don't dare turn it on now..

Does anyone know what the current ratings for the existing voltage regulators was?

That sounds very reasonable.

Honestly though it doesn't LOOK anywhere near as bad. Apart from the dust I don't notice any discolourations and both regulators are measuring at 3.3v. That's not to say there isn't a problem with them, just that it's not apparent.
