Channel Order not matching their number
Channel Order not matching their number
Hi all,
I've got my T4 back from the repairs today and when tuning it in to my location the unit doesn't seem to allocated the correct number to each station. EG ch.9HD should be #90 but when I enter 90 the Beyonwiz doesn't have a ch.90. Also the stations seem to be ordered, ie the ch. 7 channels used to be 70, 71, 72,73 now they are in random order. Is there a setting somewhere which I can switch either on or off to get this sorted out ?
Thanks in advance,
brad.

Re: Channel Order not matching their number
Hi Brad,
The tuning may have been changed at the repair location. I suggest you perform a full scan of all your local stations again.
Regards,
Ian.

You might also just be looking in the wrong bouquet. Have you opened the Terrestrial TV LCN bouquet, or do you have Last Scanned or Favourites open?

Re: Channel Order not matching their number
this I can't seem to find, as i think it's what I need to fix the problem but I can't see it as an option. At present the only options I have are Last Scanned which is a full scan as my location isn't listed and Favorites which is empty as I've not selected any.
cheers,
Brad

Re: Channel Order not matching their number
It sounds like your scan didn't complete successfully and the the Terrestrial TV LCN bouquet wasn't written. Scan again but make sure you press OK or GREEN at the scan conclusion (don't press the EXIT key).\
Then to switch to the Terrestrial TV LCN bouquet - from live TV press the TV button (at the bottom of remote), then select the Terrestrial TV LCN bouquet, OK to enter it, select a service from within it, OK to zap to that service and make the Terrestrial TV LCN bouquet the now selected bouquet.
Another way to bring up the list of bouquets from live TV is FAV (to bring up the channel/services list), then BLUE/Favourites to bring up the list of bouquets.

Re: Channel Order not matching their number
Thanks for the suggestions. I just did a rescan and I’m not getting that TV LCN folder as an option.
I’m starting to fear im going to be heading back to the post office tomorrow to send back to Beyonwiz....

Re: Channel Order not matching their number
You are a long way from needing to do that
When you did your scan, did you do a Location scan and selected "Australia - Full Scan"?
MENU->Setup->Tuners->Location scan
If all else fails, you may want to consider installing the latest firmware from USB from this forum link here:
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=12125
This has all the latest fixes, and if there is something a bit askew with your T4, this should set it to rights, though it will clear your settings and timers and you will need to re-enter them all manually (your recordings will all be safe and unaffected though)

Re: Channel Order not matching their number
thanks for the link. I received the unit back in todays mail and it's not been as easy to set up as these things usually are. I'm not sure which drivers they've installed so will update just in case...thanks for the quick response

Re: Channel Order not matching their number
Expanding on this a little bit - is there a way to still use the (correct) LCN, but stay within your bouquets? Currently entering the LCN directly (let's say 90) shifts you out of your bouquets and back into Terrestrial TC LCN.

I love my Toppy, but now I want one of these! Scratch that... now I've got one!
Re: Channel Order not matching their number
That's because the channel numbers refer to bouquet numbers, not LCNs.
You have to arrange your own favourites bouquet into LCN order, and then pad out the missing services with blank entries, so that your own bouquet is numbered so that it lines up with the LCNs.
You can do this via the bouquet editor in the Wiz's Web Interface.
