Installing WIZTV with U4
Hi, I just got my U4 and have successfully set that up (I hope), but now I'm trying to set up the WIZTV and as there are no set-up instructions I was wondering how all the cables go together.
How does the WIZTV get power ? Is it from the HDMI port ?
I have two USB cables and a 5V power supply left over in the boxes I got from Beyonwiz and I'm not sure where these cables are meant to be used.
I assume the short USB cable is used to charge the small keyboard that you buy with the WIZTV along with the USB charger, but what is the longer USB cable meant for ? It has a normal size USB plug on one end and a mini USB plug on the other.
I've plugged in the WIZTV dongle into the short HMDI extension cable and plugged that into the HDMI input on the back of the U4 and selected the WIZTV /HDMI input on the Beyonwiz remote control. I've also installed the IR extension cable and the ethernet cable, but I don't get anything on the TV screen. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Robert

The dongle is powered through the micro USB port on the side of the dongle that's marked DC on the bottom of the dongle. On mine, the power supply is a USB power supply and I used the USB cable to connect the power supply's standard-sized USB port to the micro USB port marked "DC" on the dongle.

You need a normal USB - micro USB cable to power the dongle. You need a normal USB - whatever-the-charge-port-is on the keyboard to charge the keyboard. The keyboard I got with my (pre-release) dongle has a micro USB charging port. The earlier keyboards that Beyonwiz distributed have a mini USB charge port.

You don't appear to be supplying the dongle with power.
I thought I got a "quick install guide" card with my WizTV dongle, but if I did, I can't find it now.

My copies were emailed out separately. I converted those from .pdf to .jpg & attached below.
Robert, take note of WIZ HQ’s post here.

Re: Installing WIZTV with U4
Could you post that in a separate topic with a suitable title so a mod with the appropriate powers can make it sticky? I'd offer to make it sticky myself, but my mod powers aren't moddish enough.

Could some mod make WizTV Quick Start Connection Guide & U4 Remote Button Allocation for WizTV sticky?

Re: Installing WIZTV with U4
Thanks Guys, I didn't even see the ports on the side of the dongle, I must be going blind. Now I understand how to get it up and running.
I've already watched the WIZTV video, so I'm ready to give it a go. Thanks pri for posting a copy of the card that came with it, I didn't get anything.
Robert.
