I have done all that but on 'TV' my iPad Air plays video but does not play sound, whereas the same App on my iPhone 4s plays both perfectly, Peter

Went to the App store but unable to locate "Video Apple IOS". Please provide proper app name to download.

Try searching for wizos or beyonwiz instead.

You could also try GB Player. The Beyonwiz app is a re-skinned version of GB Player, however GB Player is more current than the official BW app and works more reliably in my experience.

Try the Telly’mote app.

Wow, thanks for the telly’mote suggestion. Works so well. Loads even quicker then the Beyonwiz and you can search for recordings. Brilliant

FYI.

Another viable option for IOS is vuplustv. By comparison, for me, a plus is it works over a VPN (well, at least using the OpenVPN on my Synology) whilst telly'mote does not, a minus is that it does not decode the broadcast closed captions.
