Adding Navigation to TS file that won't FF/FR

Post by Videonut » Fri Aug 14, 2020 16:12

I have some TS files that will play OK but won't FF/FR. I think that is some procedure that I read about somewhere you could add something to the TS files so that this function will work. What is it & where do I find it?

You'll have trouble with those advanced playback function if the .ts files have come from a non T2/3/4, U4, or V2 PVR, or if they otherwise lack the associated .ap and .sc recording metadata files.

You should install the "reconstructapsc" plugin and use that to fix these files. Install the plugin and reboot.

Then highlight the file in the media player, press MENU, and select the reconstructapsc option.

That should fix the indexes on those files. Make sure the files are in a writable location so that the index files can be created.

One more follow up. The "reconstructapsc" plugin is working well. Thank you. I was wondering if this plugin can either run on all files or a series of selected files and if so how is this achieved?

You can use the script that Grumpy Geoff provided in the earlier link.
