I've just installed OpenViX 5.1.014.006 and done an online upgrade. In MENU>Information>About I'm now seeing image: 5.1.014.006 (Developer), installed: 2018-03-20, last update: 2018-03-18.

In the EPG and Channel selection, ratings icons are cleared when there is no event information available for a channel, just as I intended.

Ian, if you're still having problems with my fix for this not working, please give me something more detailed about how to replicate the problem. But perhaps something has changed between 2018-03-16 and 2018-03-18 to incorporate this fix.

Hi Prl,

I will retest and confirm if the problem still exists. If so, I will remove other development code and retest. I will post an update shortly.

Thank you for investigating.

Regards,
Ian.

Hi Prl,

I think there is a problem with my OpenViX build. There is a new update that I will install and retest when the current recording finishes.

Regards,
Ian.

Hi Prl,

There was an issue with my OpenViX installation. Today's update has replaced to damaged files and the code now tests okay. Sorry for the distraction.

Also sorry for the delay in posting this update. I got distracted starting to teach my Google Home how to control the TV and Beyonwiz.

Regards,
Ian.

No problem. I suspected that your firmware didn't contain the fix.

It was in the release notes so I assume it was there. I was testing some of my new code and I suspect I unexpectedly damaged some of the .pyo files. (The dates on some files were wrong.) Anyway, all good now.

Ian.

That can certainly happen if you do

installer.sh
do upgrade
uninstaller.sh

instead of the recommended

installer.sh
uninstaller.sh
do upgrade

because the former can replace the new .pyo files with old ones.

Hi Prl,

I don't use your installer scripts. ;) I was mucking around with my new Setup.py and I was trying some add-hoc changes to some other files and it is possible I goofed on some of my code protection steps.

Regards,
Ian.
