REQUEST: Prevent Open WebIf from displaying GUI spinner

Post by MrQuade » Thu Oct 02, 2014 22:21

Certain operations in the Open WebIf result in the spinner appearing on the T3's on-screen display which interrupts anyone who happens to be viewing live TV at the time.

An example of one such operation, is simply opening the Settings -> Recording Settings screen.

Specifically, this is annoying to me, as when theEnigma TV plugin in XBMC is refreshing the EPG, it does so via the WebIF, and one of its operations causes the spinner to appear for about 5 seconds every 2 minutes. I am forced to disable this plugin to avoid the annoyance.

Is there any way to prevent the spinner from appearing on the T3's GUI when the T3 is busy servicing an Open WebIF request? If there is concern over the user not having any feedback as to when their remote control commands are not being serviced, can the spinner be displayed ONLY after the GUI user tries to send a remote control command?
