Simple barebones plugin with volume OSD for Sonos Playbar

Hi,

I'm interested in creating a plugin that displays the Sonos Playbar volume on the OSD and was wondering if such a thing is possible, and if so, is there a very basic plugin that I could use as an example to work from?

I know it is possible to query Sonos Playbar volume levels via Python so that part shouldn't be a big problem.
