Version 1.0.2.3 lists all visible files from both the Recording and Contents folders. This includes Videos, Music and Photos.

No freezes here with this version. Wasn't that 1.02.2? (the 2nd last version released to the beta testers)

Get this error when running 1.02.3

Thread error. Access denied

It initially loads OK and displays the contents but then changing servers or refresh gets the above error. Didn't try a transfer but it offers to transfer .mp4 file (etc) as either TS or Wiz format. Still some work to do I think.

Hi Dave,

Can I add another minor issue with this version of WizFX (pending confirmation by others)...

When I start WizFX and it goes out to the Beyonwiz to get the file list I almost immediately get the "draft" version of the list. Then WizFX goes back and starts loading the details of each file. The screen list then updates, entry by entry, with the more complete version of the file information. The problem is if there are less recordings than it takes to fill the WizFX file list window and you do not interact with the WizFX UI after starting it then the last file in the list is left in its draft format. It doesn't update to the "full" description until after you click in the file list window at which time the screen is immediately updated.

Regards,
Ian.

Just wondering if the new version of WizFx will have the abilty to resume a download.
It can get a bit frustrating when you have been downloading a larg file from DP-S1 to PC
and something gose wrong the only option left is to shut down WizFx and start all over
again.

I know there is a sort of resume availible if you shut down BeyonWiz accidently while downloading you get the "Read timed out" dialog box with the option to Retry.

It would be nice if possible to have an option to be able to continue a download later
that way if you needed to restart your PC for some reason or other its not going to be
a head ache.

Interesting piece of soft :D Had a file that was partly transfered from the Wiz to my PC. Closed WizZilla beta 0.38 (approx 55%). Opened WizZilla to resume the transfer. Got the transfer of the filenames (15 files - at about a second a file) marked the file for transfer again and was asked by the PC if I wanted to overwrite the partly transferred file. Replied with the only option possible, "Yes" and instead of overwriting the file it resumed. Don't know if it concatenated properly as I am still transferring the file.

This might be a litlle bug im the program :?

Also "Download Now" doesn't do a thing unless the file to be downloaded is ticked with "Queue for Download" for a single transfer.

Just some basic observations.

Also, if you are going to implement a preview could you make it so that the enduser can decide to use either an internal viewer or an external viewer such as Media Player Classic or another freeware viewer rather than Windows Media Player as is so often the case.

Cheers and looking forward to all the new goodies yet to be implemented.

howdy all,

I've joined the beyonwiz p1 owners club recently and have been enjoying the benefits it provides.

reading the forum here I have downloaded the wizilla to have a look at......but I can not find where to get the wizfx.
I've searched but can't find (although it is probably staring me in the face), so could someone provide a link please.
Much appreciated.

Beyonwiz downloads page, select any device except DP-P1 in the devices dropdown, select WizFX in the Others dropdown, press Download.

1 question, why do say select any device except dp-p1 ?

I have the dp-p1 so why shouldn't I select it?
Thanks

Sorry, typo. I meant select anything but the DP-H1. WizFX isn't in Others when you select the H1, because it doesn't have a WizPnP server, so you can't use WizFX with it. All the other selections give you the same version of WizFX.

It's also not listed (yet...) for the DP-P2. In fact every dropdown list for the P2 except firmware says 'available soon'.

Is there a version that supports folders available yet? Beyonwiz.com's download area has ver 1.0.1.4, and I'm currently using 1.0.1.14 (can't remember where I got it from).

WizFX version 1.0.2.3 has been beta tested but Beyonwiz is yet to release it.

To the two wizards,

Thanks for taking the time and effort to write this.

I will do some testing over the next few weeks and give you an update on any issues I find.

All I need now is a version for WHS.

Martyn
