epg multiple show recording
epg multiple show recording
Is it possible on the epg in the DP-S1 to highlight 2 to 3 shows on the same channel together on the epg so you can record the three programs as one recording rather than have the buffering make the recoeding appear disjointed. I know you can edit a recording to extend it but it would be easier (say like a computer's shift function in excel for copying) to highlight 2 to 3 shows in a row as one item for recording.
I would appreciate your comments

No, it's not possible. It's been an idea discussed several times on the forum (and also on the IceTV forum where people would like something similar in IceTV), but for some reason, it hasn't made it to the wishes list.dbowie wrote:Is it possible on the epg in the DP-S1 to highlight 2 to 3 shows on the same channel together on the epg so you can record the three programs as one recording rather than have the buffering make the recoeding appear disjointed. It's easy enough as it is now. Press Rec once to set the timer for program A. Press Rec a 2nd time to popup the Edit Timer window and change the duration to cover both programs.dbowie wrote:it would be easier (say like a computer's shift function in excel for copying) to highlight 2 to 3 shows in a row as one item for recording.
The whole EPG concept is based on TV stations keeping to their scheduled times. We should be partitioning the Government (and Opposition) to legislate that TV broadcasts (or at least prime time broadcasts) start on time. The Government missed it's chance with Freeview, and with the introduction of Digital TV back in 2003.

The networks have too strong a grip on the politicians' throats for any of them (of either shade of grey) to stand up to the networks in the public interest.Dave? wrote:The whole EPG concept is based on TV stations keeping to their scheduled times. The commercial networks manipulate start/finish times in order to manipulate the audience - if you don't believe me, try avoiding locally made reality/talent quest garbage. This is one of the reasons I am so opposed to the 'Freeview' anti-skip subterfuge. I shouldn't be forced or tricked into watching something I choose not to - at any speed!!

I believe both groups already consider themselves sufficiently differentiated.Dave? wrote:We should be partitioning the Government (and Opposition)
