Whatever happened to automaticvolumeadjustment system plugin?

It was excellent and worked perfectly, but then a firmware update saw it removed.

In Sydney, the channels broadcast at very different levels and you can have one channel at a comfortable volume level, but switch channels and you can end up getting complaints from neighbours because the volume could end up more than double normal. On one it might have to have it on 100% whereas another requires it set to 50%.

I am sending the audio to the sound system via optical connection,

Anyone know why it was removed?
