FF REW buttons Suggestion.
Though I guess it has been thought of before, and I guess people are different:
I am used to using an IQ and to speed though unwanted parts, you press the FF button.
Pressing it again increases the speed. And again and again etc.
Pressing the REW button drops the speed back one level.
Pressing PLAY - well kinda obvious.
As it is, if I am in X32 FF and I want to slow down the speed, pressing the REW button suddenly puts it in X2 backwards.
A bit annoying to me.
Maybe a option for now this works?

Hi Scaredy cat,
This has already been raised in the UI wish list (UI/usability overview ..... a more user friendly BW). In fact I put the wish forward on page 3 of the thread.
Regards,
Ian.

Re: FF REW buttons Suggestion.
Before the upgrades I could assign different time slots for the number buttons 1, 4 & 7 for backwards and 3, 6 & 9 for backwards.
They have removed this feature.
It was the main reason for buying Beyonwiz instead of other PVR's.
I have three and I am very unhappy that they have done this and will not be buying another unless they put the feature back.

Re: FF REW buttons Suggestion.
It is still there, it is just no longer the default setting.
You want to go into the setup menu and enable keypad skip keys.
You must have left your upgrades go for a long time as that was changed about a year ago.

As MrQuade advises, the firmware default has been like this since April.Janicew wrote:Before the upgrades I could assign different time slots for the number buttons 1, 4 & 7 for backwards and 3, 6 & 9 for backwards.
They have removed this feature.
To revert, go to MENU > System > Button settings,
There you'll find the option to enable the number pad skip buttons.
You'll also see the 'new' option to enable the additional UP/DOWN arrow direction-pad buttons for skipping, to complement the LEFT/RIGHT buttons.
You may find that set of 4 direction-pad buttons more convenient.
