You won't lose any recordings from the hard-disk.drharry2442 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 23, 2017 18:44is it ok to restore a T4 with the latest firmware to factory settings ?

You will lose your timers unless you have an IceTV subscription. You can make a settings backup which will save all your settings to the hard-disk and you can optionally restore your settings later (including timers). If you have such a settings backup file available, and you are comfortable to muck around with the Linux command line, you can restore just your timers without having to restore the rest of your settings.
The best way to set your Wiz back to the factory default state is to load the latest firmware version using the USB firmware method. The "factory default" option that you can see in the Wiz settings will clear your settings just fine, but it won't completely clean up any plugins or potentially corrupted software.

Re: t4 restore to factory settings
thanks for your help. downloaded the latest firmware and installed it from usb and it worked like a charm.
got rid of all the networking issues I was having between the T2 and the T4 as well.
going to do the same with the T2 firmware as well to see if it fixes a few little network issues I am having with it.

Re: t4 restore to factory settings
Hi,
Can anyone send me the original firmware that came with the system.
I purchased it in June 2015.
Having issues with HDMI output
When I boot up I can see the powered by WIZOS logo. Then the screen goes black and I get no signal on my TV. I can hear the sound via optical audio and the TV keeps cycling on and off. It's lime the TV can see the HDMI and turns on then displays no signal and goes into power saving mode.
I have tried loading latest firmware via usb and have tried a few previous ones to but I don't have the original USB that came with it.
Any help appreciated.
