Ooer, that's the top of the top of the range. End of model clearance sale meant that we got it for a good discount off last years price. Continuing with my U4 setup. When I attempted to create a backup for the U4 I encountered a spinning star and complaint that the target was not writeable and that I should select another location, followed shortly after by a backup done message. OK, so it looks like it is writing across the network....

Re: Remote recording on T4 and Series to folder interaction
Definitely a problem if you have recordings running on both the U4 and T4 to the same folder with S2F running on both. This would appear to be the root cause. S2F is only on the T4. The U4 has /media/autofs/MovieBEYONWIZT4/ as the recording "movie location" with the instant and timer reco...

Re: Remote recording on T4 and Series to folder interaction
Thanks for the comments. Hmmm, I will have to look at the config for S2F (T4 currently in use by SWMBO). I have just observed that the recording files (actively) being made by the U4 have been moved into a corresponding folder (S2F is setup with a trigger of 1 - ie always move to a folder). The fold...

I've recently configured a U4 to use a T4 disk as its recording target (all using beta beyonwiz 17.5.20181104 (17.5-800-g3d9a605) firmware). Thanks for the feedback. I've subsequently installed an old small SSD to support timeshift. Disabled the "use as hdd" option but left the recording target directory as the T4. Which has led to a couple more oddities that I will raise as a new discussion.

As Peter confirmed, there is no need to remove the timers (and, in the end, I did not).
