DP-Lite Buy/Sell/Whatever
Hi guys, I impulsively bought a cheap DP-Lite 500Gb recently, but the purpose has sort of dematerialised. It came without a remote, so selling it even very cheaply might be a challenge. I'm wondering if anyone would want the machine, or might have a compatible remote for it. I don't want to see it l...

Hi again Legends,
I'm wondering what the go-to version of firmware is for a DP-Lite(500G), and where I might download it from?
Cheers,

Re: Harmony Support for Yamaha RX-V757
The 525 looks a bit like a cut-down 785 (which IMO was Logitech's best IR Harmony remote). You can have many more commands on screen buttons than is immediately obvious from the image of the 525. The two buttons below the screen allow you to page through screens with other button definitions. So yo...

Re: Harmony Support for Yamaha RX-V757
Can you assign a database code to any button, say buttons 1 and 2 for speakers A and B? Any command can be assigned to practically any button or command sequence. The screen can normally be assigned any command or sequence as well. That's great, thank again. This will be a far easier way to get a f...

MrQuade and Gully, you are both legends. Thank you. How does the availability of physical buttons on a Harmony affect what codes you can utilise from what's available in the equipment database? Hi all, I have an RX-V757 I acquired and I'm using it for around the house audio, particularly outside speakers. I bought a Philips Prestigo for a cheap experiment years ago when Dick Smith were heading into the red. One struggle I had is that related settings are not always in the same menu location. There's also some new terminology, plus the far broader feature set and scope of settings. It does get far easier and once dialled in to your preferences it's a fine machine to use... however even now will agree th...

A few rules of thumb: Set Beyonwiz volume level to about 95% and do not change it. (Achieves equivalent volume between AC3 and MPEG audio.) Prefer AC3 audio over any other format. Thanks Peter. I figured that the drive would be well fast enough, but some interfaces are slow in "cheaper" devices like entry level surveillance NVRs.
Given I'm wired and the machines both go no lower than Standby, it sounds like I should give it a try.
