Re: Broken LAN Interface?
I should think someone with knowledge of the V2 will come to the party, but my take on this is that (from your network test) it looks like the LAN connectivity is OK but there may be an issue with IP assignment. If you haven't done so already, I would first reboot (or maybe better power cycle) the ...

Hi everyone. Happy new year. I suspect my V2 NIC has decided retirement is in order. I was watching a show held on my server when the playback froze and the spinning spikey thingy came up. I did a reboot etc., but still no joy. The Wiz cannot see anything on the network. Other devices on the same LA...

Re: V2 error while preparing to record, disc full
Has the firmware flash somehow got filled up? In MENU>Information>Memory, how much free space is reported for "FLASH"? Says there's 6GB free. I managed to run 2 concurrent recordings last night with no issue. I'm going to just put this down to a glitch in the matrix and see how things go....

Re: V2 error while preparing to record, disc full
Where does it report the disk is full - in the timer's log entries? It's an on-screen dialogue box. Perhaps check the file /var/log/messages to see if any disk access errors are being reported (or grab a copy and attach it to a post and someone here may have a look). I couldn't see anything obvious...

If you see the bubbles screen, but the Infobar and all the other menus work as normal, it means that the V2 can't tune to a service. Check your antenna connections to start with. Update.
I think the v2 is having a heart attack
Now I can't get past the bubble splash screen. That stays on screen. Change channel and the channel info bar comes up as normal but no TV content.
Menu system works ok.
Maybe another factory reset....

V2 error while preparing to record, disc full
Hi everyone, I've been running my V2 with a 256GB SD card for about a year. Recently I'd had a lot recording fail with an error message suggesting the disc is full - which it isn't. I figured the card had become corrupt so tried a USB SSD I had on hand. The V2 throws the same error instantly. I have...

I sort of figured the little guy was struggling with the file.
I'll avoid that encoding in future for stuff I want to watch via the Wiz.

Hi there, I went to watch a video last night and all I got was the audio of the file and a still picture of the free-to-air broadcast. I suspect the encoding was beyond the V2's capability. I don't have any auto timers. Haven't even ventured into that dark art.

The 2 timers i do have were created via the epg.

Thanks for the responses.
It's entirely possible the NAS was asleep when the timer fired but I'd think 20 seconds is long enough for it to wake up. However, i shall go with Grumpy _Geoff's suggestion.
Out of interest, what bit of storage is at /media/hdd/movie ?

Maybe in all my mad clicking around it worked out what I was trying to do!

Ahh, there is one problem. NFS is a whole different kettle of fish. I wouldn't mess with that just yet. Windows uses SMB to connect to the NAS, so you should do the same with the V2. The default sharing protocol for your NAS will be SMB. It may be called "SAMBA", or "Windows Networki...

Grumpy_Geoff mentioned earlier about the ver=2.1 option on the mount. If your NAS doesn't support that version of SMB, then it will fail to connect...
