Ok, so I just did a reboot, and all is ok again.
Weird, but glad it is fixed.

My EPG is truncated to the left
Hi all, I was hoping to be able to tap the collective wisdom here. I have no idea when this happened, or why I started noticing it, but my EPG is 'missing' off the left of the screen. My TV has overscan off (called 'just scan' on LG). This could have happened 1) When I got my new TV about 6 months a...

Re: Unofficial feed
Hi all,
Silly question, but should I be turning my feeds off with the above scripts to prevent a malicious actor from attempting an update (if they ever buy the domain)?
What is the risk if I turn it off?
What are the risks if I leave it on?
Thanks.

Hi all, Just a follow up. I replaced the HDD in the T4 and it now seems to find the drive every boot and works as expected. Re: T4 SATA cable
Ok, thanks!
I might try the HDD first, then the play with the cabling second. I can check the pin outs when I pull the HDD out for replacement and make a new cable to suit. in case this is the culprit.
Have there been many PSU issues with the T4 that affect HDD operation?

T4 SATA cable
Hi All, My T4 crashed last night a couple of times and looked like it was having trouble finding/using the HDD. I pulled it apart and cleaned/reseated the SATA cables at both ends, which seemed to resolve the issue, at least temporarily. I may be having issues with either the HDD or the cable, so I ...

Re: System time not being maintained correctly
So do I. My router is also an NTP server, so I point the Beyonwiz at that for time, and the router points at an NTP server that my ISP runs. My router is also my local NTP server, it gets the time from the NTP pool I mentioned. I did not want to confuse the issue in my response. Glad to be in good ...

Re: System time not being maintained correctly
BTW does anyone have an opinion about relative merits of the NTP as a source of time setting, vs getting the time from the TV channel (the other option for this setting in the menu). I have used NTP on every Beyonwiz I have owned and it works fine. As a source of time, I am using au.pool.ntp.org. I...

Hey Paul_oz53, Yes, I still have the T3, in fact it is sitting on the desk beside me with a bunch of screws sitting on top. Re: Maybe it is time to get a V2
Thank you Mr Quade for your answers. I was concerned about the power delivery on the USB port, sometimes running a HDD from that can put a strain on things. If I decide to do that I will make sure I use a powered drive. Using a 2.5" local drive will be SMR, moving to 3.5" I can get a CMR. ...

Hi all, I currently have a T4 that is or may be failing. I am waiting on Warkus to take a look at some photos and let me know if he thinks it can be saved. Re: Help, T3 via HDMI has no sound but picture is fine.
The only thing wrong with the 3808 was that the power button failed and would not stay on! I had to put a block of rubber between the lip of the cabinet and the button to hold it on. That worked for the 2 weeks it took me to realise I could not get a replacement button, could not fix the button, and...

Re: Help, T3 via HDMI has no sound but picture is fine.
Hopefully the T4 will be back in operation again soon. The Oppo only uses the Denon for sound at this time, I have it directly connected to the TV for video. This was due to my old Denon 3808 dying earlier in the year and being replaced with the x4500h in rather a hurry. I never got around to re-cab...

The simple solution, for those in the same situation as I was, is to just set the Denon input HDMI to 'standard' not 'enhanced'.
No recabling required, simple configuration.

Yes, that is what I thought, but you never know.
That means that I should leave the fan setting to ON rather than the default AUTO then.
It seems wrong that the default for the fan means that it is off for the majority of the time that the device is working but not being used.
