Just checked my T2 that arrived 2 weeks ago. This has 16.1. When I got it I did usb upgrade to the latest firmware (apparently). Why would this not be 17.5? Also Beyonwiz advertising says that the models are all shipped with the latest firmware installed. My T2 was a few behind by the looks.

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure how you tell if the HD is being broadcast in 5.1, but it does sound pretty good. I will have to pay attention to see if the sound pans left to right etc at the rear speakers. I am in Perth.

I have the BW connected to my amp via an optical link but I have to use the "LD" input as the DVD is taken and the amp was made before PVR's. I have got the TV connected to the BW via HDMI. The amp decodes both DD and DTS.
