Re: T2 New pre-amp wont recognise audio stream
Did you by any chance upgrade your receiver so you could play UHD HDR content, and have enabled "Enhanced HDMI" mode on the ports between the T2 and TV? If so, then this is the likely cause of the loss of audio. The T2's old HDMI chipset doesn't support the latest HDMI video signalling st...

Re: T2 Audio output format
The first thing that comes to mind is "HDMI Enhanced Mode". The T2 is incompatible with 4K HDR signally that is a part of the later HDMI specifications, so it will behave strangely if that mode is enabled. If you have recently turned on HDMI Enhanced mode on the receiver, or one of the in...

I've got the Tuner selection set to 'Auto'. Is there any value in changing this and trying the other tuners one by one to see if that makes any difference ? Yes, a trial and error with each tuner might narrow down the problem to a dodgy tuner. If not, you need to consider other options from suggest...

I can get no audio output from either my T2 or t3 when connected to an AVR (Yamaha RX-V685). Both work faultlessly when connected to a TV. I have looked at every audio setting and hdmi setting on the AVR to see what the issue may be but nothing seems to work. I was hoping to avoid using component c...

The T2 isn't compatible with Enhanced HDMI mode. Only the T4, U4 and V2 will tolerate that mode and maintain audio. You'll need to plug the T2 directly into the TV into a port that doesn't have enhanced mode enabled. This presumes that your Onkyo is like my Denon receiver, and that the enhanced mod...
