DHCP
Hi
I have just changed my U4 from wifi connection to LAN using an ethernet cable and the Automatic Configuration of the DHCP which was turned off has now been turned on when I set the LAN up. Is this the correct setting or should I turn it off again?

Thanks for that prl. It's good to know the update went through ok.
I agree the previous back display was perhaps designed for teenage boys but at least it had a bit of colour and wasn't boring.

If I were to delete the Enigma log file to start afresh would the U4 automatically create a new one? I'd imagine it would but just want to be sure.
By the way still no reboots and all is well.

There was an issue with U4s randomly rebooting on older firmware (due to a memory leak I think). The enigma2 exit codes from file "enigma2_execution.log" in /home/root/logs may give a clue, particularly if the exit code is 137 (from memory). Thanks to your wonderful instructions Grumpy Ge...

The only problem I have with the U4 is that it randomly re-boots (strangely between approx 5 pm & 7.30pm) if one is using after that it remains stable and doesn’t re-boot. My question is this, is there any chance that an Update could possibly fix the random re-booting, my gut feeling is no but ...

Hi
I have 2 mp4 videos which if I play them on the PC play in the normal way but I have sent them to my U4 and when I play them there, they are rotated so that the horizontal becomes perpendicular. Any ideas please?

That sounds a great idea and they are networked. The recordings on the little used U4 are very few and I can easily send them to the frequent U4 and then swap the HDDs. I'll then send the frequent U4 off for repair and install a spare T4 upstairs where the little used T4 was. Thank you Grumpy Geoff.

Re: Another T4 tuner problem.
Over the last little while during hot weather my U4 will just self re-boot, only happens on hot afternoons. Yesterday whilst looking through settings I came across Fan Speed and I've cranked it up to Max. So far so good. Stupid question but can I presume that keeping it at max is not harmful?
